ROTTEN PULSES CASE IN RELIEF: 11 PEOPLE INCLUDING THE MAYOR RELEASED ON BAIL

Eleven people, including Kalaiya sub-metropolitan mayor Rajesh Ray Yadav, who were arrested on the charge of distributing rotten pulses in relief, have been released on bail.

He was released on bail of Rs 281,000 demanded by the District Administration Office, Bara.

A bench of Chief District Officer Rudra Prasad Pandit on Wednesday evening sought Rs 281,000 bail from Mayor Yadav and Dhanlaxmi Pulses Mill operator Tejkaran Jain. As the mayor was also involved in the dal case, the district administration was open till late at night.

After distributing the rotten pulses in relief, the pulses were taken under control and an investigation into the incident was started. Ravindra Yadav alias Roshan, son of Yadav, uncle of Yadav, Bachchu Yadav alias Munshi Bachchu Das of Yadav Ice and Cold Store, Krishna Prasad Yadav, Riyazul Ansari, Ward President of Kalaiya Ward No. 27, Hariom Prasad Sonar, Ward President of Ward No. 1, Saifullah Mian Ansari, President of Ward No. 11 Sarva Narayan Chaudhary, President of Ward No. 13 Rajan Prasad Kurmi, Mahesh Sahas of Ward No. 26 with 60 thousand and bail is demanded.

Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Bara, Deputy Superintendent of Police Gautam Mishra said that no demand has been filed against the secretary of Ward No. 20, Khedu Miya.

The statement was started at the District Administration Office, Bara from 5 pm on Wednesday. Chief District Officer Rudra Prasad Pandit pronounced the verdict at around 9 pm after the statement, but it is not the final verdict.
