Nijgadh : It has been found that the vegetable and food traders in Nijgadh of Bara have violated the social distance. It has been found that the traders here have violated this rule even though it is said to trade at a social distance for essential items during lockdown.

Locals are worried after traders in the Nijgadh market violated the social distance seen in the control of the corona virus (Covid 19) which has spread like a global epidemic.

The locals have alleged that the local administration has not been fulfilling its role well and has been manipulating the traders. Locals say that they are worried that there will be an infection in the area tomorrow as other shops have been opened secretly and vegetable and food shops have not maintained social distance even though they have been asked not to open shops except for essential items at the municipal level. When they reached the vegetable market on Tuesday morning, they found people buying vegetables in droves.

The place where vegetables and food grains are being sold in Nijgadh Municipality is not well organized. It has been found that the vegetable traders are selling vegetables on the road outside the place specified by the municipality. Traders are selling vegetables at various places on the road near Nijgadh Chowk.

However, Krishna Nepal, coordinator of the Municipal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nijgadh, said that he has urged the traders to run their business only by adopting sanitizer, soap and water as well as safety measures. He said that he would take additional initiative to take security measures from tomorrow as no one has done it anywhere.

Regarding market management, Inspector Bikas Thapaliya at the Area Police Office, Nijgadh said that they are trying their best to manage the market. He said that the problem was due to the presence of grocery items in small shops and disobedience of the locals.
