Researchers from Germany’s Red Cross Blood Donor Service and the University Hospital’s Institute for Medical Virology, led by Arnhard Seifrid, studied the pool testing method in corona testing after a shortage of PCR testing kits began to occur.
During the investigation, the swabs collected for the bridge test were placed in a reverse test tube. The collected samples were then placed in a pool container. No need to increase the size of the pool container for this. Also no other changes are required, so there is no reduction in the sensitivity of the test.
