Swab collection of 239 people for corona virus test in Bara

BARA : In Bara, 239 swabs have been collected for corona virus testing. Two people were confirmed infected with the corona virus 9 covid-190 on the same day two weeks ago in Bara.

A 47-year-old man of Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolis-7 has been living in his own house and a 31-year-old man living in a local mosque in Sub-Metropolis-19 has been confirmed to have corona infection. Seven members of his family have been kept in isolation at the Corona Special Temporary Hospital in Simara since the same day, while about 65 people who came in contact with the corona have been placed under home quarantine.

Due to lack of equipment in Bara, they could not speed up the collection of swabs of people in various sub-metropolitan, municipal and village quarantines, but now their swab collection and testing has been expedited. Under the command of Major Prem Giri of the Nepal Army, a team of health workers reached every local level and collected swabs.

Kohalvi Municipality Mayor Bharat Bahadur Bhandari said that even though it was late for the corona virus test at their local level, swab collection has started and according to the results of the quarantined people, preparations are being made to send them from quarantine.

Meanwhile, the results of 7 members of the family who were confirmed to have corona infection were negative in the first phase and swabs were collected for a full test and the results of about 65 people who came in contact with the infected were also negative, said Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Krishna Padel said.

According to Rudra Prasad Pandit, Chief of the District Administration Office, Bara, 100 kits from the state government and 200 kits from the central government have been provided in the recent past and 239 swabs have been collected in Bara so far.

The Armed Police Force (APF) has arrested 65 people who were trying to enter Nepal from Indian territory after the lockdown and sent them back to India.
