Another person in Bara has been confirmed infected with the corona virus

Nijgadh : A PCR test was conducted on June 19 after two journalists from the neighboring district of Parsa were found to have corona infection.

In the first phase of the PCR test, throat swabs of 48 first-line journalists were collected, and the same test confirmed coronavirus infection in another journalist.

He is a 38-year-old man from Karaiyamai, Bara. To be a journalist working for a local FM station in Kalaiya, Bara. He is the fifth infected person in Bara district.

The journalists were tested on the initiative of Kamal Kumar Upadhyaya, president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), after the infection was found in journalists working in the front lines during the Corona epidemic.

It has been revealed that the infected journalist has been in frequent contact with the police personnel working at the District Police Office, Bara, Kalaiya. A 29-year-old police constable of Sitapur in Ward No. 2 of Fatuwa Bijaypur Municipality in Rautahat District was found infected with Korna on May 15.

Meanwhile, the journalist has been kept in the isolation of Kalaiya Hospital while his family has been kept in the quarantine in Karaiyamai. Similarly, contact testing of those who came in contact with him is also underway, said Bara Chief District Officer Rudra Prasad Pandit.

Along with this, the number of Korna infected people in Bara has reached five. One person was found in Jeetpur Simara Sub-metropolitan Municipality, one in Simraungadh Municipality, one in Bishrampur Municipality and one in Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan District Police Office and one in Karaiyamai Municipality today.
