४११ पाठक संख्या Kaliya : Police have arrested Rajesh Rai Yadav, Mayor of Kalia Sub-metropolis of Bara, for allegedly blackmailing him. Police have taken Mayor Yadav under control after distributing sliced pulses in relief to various elders of Kalya Sub-metropolis.
Barak police spokesperson Gautam Mishra informed that Mayor Yadav was arrested by police on Tuesday while investigating the case registered under the Kalabazaar Act.
The Kaliya sub-metropolitan city has initiated the process of investigation by registering a black market case and distributing black pulse to the poor people who were suffering from lockdown.
Police had also seized the store in Kadaya sub-metropolis ward no 1 in Kaliya sub-store at Kadaya cold store for distribution in relief.
Police took the mayor immediately after taking a sample of the pulses stored there and sent it to the food technology and quality control laboratory in Hetauda for testing and from there it proved that the pulse was non-functional.
The godown, which is named after Nepali Congress leader and former MP Radhechandra Yadav, has been run by his son, Rajya Rai Yadav of Kaliya sub-metropolitan city.
