During Ramadan, which lasts for a month, Muslims fast, which is called ‘Rosa’. According to the English calendar, Ramadan fasting has started from today. The Islamic calendar is based on the date associated with the motion of the moon. Therefore, when the month of Ramadan begins with the end of the month of Sha’ban, fasting is started by looking at the moon, and the end of the month of Ramadan is also known by looking at the moon.
“The government has extended the deadline to save human lives, but raising a family on a daily basis is becoming a problem. In such a situation, it is important for the affluent people of the society to come forward to help the poor ‘, says human rights activist Alam Khan.
Religious leaders, Maulanas and leaders of Nepalgunj have urged the public to make arrangements for Friday prayers, five daily prayers and Tarawih prayers to be offered at home on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Mohammad Harun Halwai, a central member of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN-M) and a leader of the Muslim community in Nepalgunj, celebrated Ramadan.
