Demonstration of Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Birgunj demanding action against the attack on the temple

Parsa: The World Hindu Council Nepal has strongly condemned and protested against the attack on various temples in Saptari. Council Nepal Parsa on Sunday staged a protest in Birgunj in full compliance with the government-imposed lockdown and demanded immediate action after arresting the anti-social elements who attacked the temple.

The members of the council, led by Ranbir Kushwaha, general secretary of the council, held placards in their hands and staged a token protest against the anti-social elements attacking the temple and demanded action against them.

They are protesting against Islamic terrorists from other countries who have entered Nepal, carrying out placards with the slogan “Investigate temple vandalism, arrest the culprits immediately and take legal action as far as possible”.

We have also sent a memorandum to the Prime Minister, the Office of the Council of Ministers, and the offices of the three security chiefs about the incident by mail, he said.

An unidentified group had vandalized and set fire to the Hanuman Temple, Shiva Temple and Shree Ramjanki Temple in Balahi Bihul Gaonpalika Ward No. 3 of Sarlahi and Dagrin Sthan Ward No. 4 Belahi of Mauwaha and Shree Ramjanki Temple in Surunga Municipality Ward No. 10.

The council has been protesting against the incident, demanding the arrest of the culprits and stern action.
