Kalaiya: The Nepal E-Rickshaw Drivers’ Association, Bara, has put forward its two-point demand and demanded to reduce the interest rate. A meeting chaired by Jayaram Mahato Koiri, president of Nepal E-Rickshaw Chaal Association Bara, has put forward its demands.

Agreeing to the lockdown across the country to prevent the transmission of Corona Covid 19, Union Bara has strongly demanded the concerned authorities to deduct the interest amount they have been paying to various banks. Jayaram Mahato, president of the Nepal E-Rickshaw Drivers’ Association, Bara, said that they could not pay the bank’s interest till the lock-down period as they were worried about the unemployment problem caused by the lock-down.

Similarly, as the lock down imposed by the Government of Nepal for the prevention of Corona Covid 19 infection has been fully complied with by the Association Bara, the local government at the 16th local level of Bara has demanded that the local government provide relief to the unemployed and helpless drivers, said Chairman Mahato. All e-rickshaws and autos operating in Bara district have come to a standstill due to the lockdown imposed by the Nepal government.
