Nijgadh: In the Nijgadh municipality area of Bara, development works could not be carried out due to lockdown. A meeting of the Corona Virus Disaster Reduction Coordination and Monitoring Committee, Nijgadh, has decided that the ballast, sand and stones required for development works can be consumed as per the criteria set by the municipality.
It has been decided to allow the crusher industries operating in the city to sell and distribute the stock of ballast, sand, stone and other materials in accordance with certain criteria. Similarly, on the recommendation of the District Administration Office, Bara, the crusher industries have decided to sell stock ballast, sand, stone and other materials for the projects of national pride outside the city.
This will be monitored by the monitoring committee under the coordination of the Chief Administrative Officer of Nijgadh Municipality. The meeting has made criteria such that the driver and co-driver should be transported inside the vehicle while transporting the goods, disinfection of the vehicle should be disinfected by the concerned industry and necessary physical distance should be maintained.
Necessary action will be taken by banning the sale of goods if the industries violate the standards. The monitoring committee headed by the Chief Administrative Officer has decided to monitor the daily necessities shops in the city as per the rules implemented by the municipality and take necessary action, said Nijgadh Municipality Mayor Suresh Kumar Khanal.
