Jeetpur: Some industries in the Pathalaiya-Birgunj Industrial Corridor, which have been closed for the past 46 days to prevent the transmission of corona virus, have started operating from Friday.

As per the decision of the government, the industries have started operating with the permission of the local administration after completing the minimum infrastructure required to avoid the infection of Korna virus (Kovid 19).

Surya Nepal, Hulas Steel and Jagdamba Pvt. Ltd. are currently operating the industry after the monitoring of the local administration on the basis of the request to operate the industry. Krishna Gare, chief of the Area Administration Office, Simara, said that the investigation and monitoring of other applications received from these industries, which came into operation on Friday, has been taken forward.

He said that the industries that support the development work as well as the state’s car system have been given priority and allowed to operate.

The administration office has given permission to operate these industries in compliance with the seven-point condition of arranging in-house accommodation for the workers, maintaining social distance, conducting daily health check-ups, using masks and sanitizers, said Gare, head of the Area Administration Office, Simara.

Sanjay Sah, president of the Jeetpur Simara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that there could be problems in marketing of raw materials as well as industries in the 200-strong industrial corridor. The food and pharmaceutical industries in this corridor have been operating regularly.
