Warning of the concerned committee to run the industry in Jitpur Simara against the criteria set by the government

Bara: Despite constant protests from locals, Jagdamba Steels, located in Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolis, has run the company against the criteria set by the government.

It was found that the company was operating without proper health check-up system during the Corona disaster in direct violation of the agreement reached between the company administration, local government, security agencies, representatives of various political parties and local residents. Basanta Dhakal, chairman of the company’s existing Durganagar Toll Reform Committee, said that the risk has increased in the Simara area when the company operates without adopting the security system prescribed by the government.

Local youth Manish Pyakurel has expressed his indignation saying that it is a matter of concern that Jagdamba Steels, which has repeatedly negotiated and reached an understanding on pollution prevention but has not implemented it, is still worried about the heinous situation.

Keep in mind that this area is at high risk of corona. Lekh Bahadur Shrestha, a member of the Durganagar Toll Committee, said that they have no objection if the company operates by fulfilling the security system and standards set by the government.

Local Ishwar Thapaliya warned that the government should take immediate action to prevent serious jeopardy on public health.

Similarly, Hulas Steel and Surya Nepal in Simara have also come into operation against the standards set by the government. Locals have said that this has increased the panic.

Manoj Poudel, coordinator of the Jeetpur Simara Public Affairs Committee, said that the locals had complained that the industry was operating against the norms set by the government. He warned that no industry would be allowed to operate against the government’s norms and that the concerned committee would protest if it was forced to operate.
