६८३ पाठक संख्या Kathmandu: 233 inmates were released from various jails across the country on Thursday. The government has released some prisoners who have improved their conduct on the occasion of Republic Day.
President Bidhyadevi Bhandari has pardoned the remaining 233 prisoners on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers. According to the Office of the President, Ramesh Bishwakarma alias Ram Bahadur has been pardoned in accordance with Article 276 of the Constitution of Nepal, Criminal Offenses Determination and Implementation Act 2074 and Criminal Offenses Punishment Rules 2076.
Similarly, in accordance with Article 276 of the Constitution of Nepal and Article 159 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 274, on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, 8 persons including Kapil Dev Sah Kanus have been pardoned from various courts, judicial or quasi-judicial bodies or administrative officials or bodies. Assistant Spokesperson of the President’s Office Keshav Prasad Ghimire has given the information.
